Grace Community Church
Tempe, Arizona - United States
Grace Community Church was founded in 1965 by four families with a vision to build a community church on the southern edge of Tempe, Arizona. The goal was to minister to all of the new families moving into the rapidly growing community. Grace has experienced seasons of incredible growth, community and global outreach expansion, building and property expansion as well as ministry opportunities that include a school (Grace Christian Academy), a lodge on Rainbow Lake for retreats, and a thrift store and community outreach center (Gracies Thrift Store). In 2015, Des Wadsworth joined staff as the lead pastor and now leads the church in collaboration with Tony Curtisi (Pastor of Care and Connections) and Mark Zurowski (Senior Associate Pastor.
We are a diverse community church, we exist to Grow Richly, Reach Intentionally, Adore Passionately, Connect Authentically and Engage Wholeheartedly. As we pursue this mission, we do so with a 2020 vision focused on intentionally being: Outward Focused, Reaching Unreached People, A Place where Every Generation Matters, and Engaging the Next Generation. Sunday attendance ranges from 1100-1250.
