Westminster Baptist Church is situated in Westminster, Carroll County, Maryland, which is primarily a suburban/rural environment. Westminster serves as a bedroom community for both Baltimore and Washington, DC. There are over 17,000 households within five (5) miles of the church. The two largest race and ethnic groups are white at 89% and African American at 5%. Westminster Baptist is financially stable and has no outstanding debt. Its physical facilities cover over 30,000 square feet and include: a sanctuary, a multi-purpose room that can function as recreational space or as an auditorium, and ample educational space. The church property is 10 acres with generous amounts of parking and plenty of room for expansion. The church is noted for its friendliness and caring. We have a wide range of ministries directed across all ages including: Preschool and Children (AWANA, VBS, choir), Youth (Bible Study, Wednesday night), Young Adults, Adults (Bible study, choir), Men’s Ministry, Women’s Ministry, and Seniors (Bible study, special events). Growth in the church has stagnated. We are seeking a Senior Pastor who can reach people of all ages, especially young families, and lead our church to be more focused on outreach and evangelism.
