With a proud history of 100+ years and employing more than 850 people, Baptist Care (SA) Inc. provides care for some of the most vulnerable people in South Australia. With the motto Serving to Transform Lives, they exist primarily to meet the needs of their clients, ranging from children in the care of the state, to the homeless, refugees, youth at risk, the Aboriginal community and those dealing with mental health issues. An Area Manager, is now sought to lead a multi-disciplinary team and manage service delivery in the Limestone Coast region.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Care Services, you will lead a team of 3 direct reports (and approximately 40 employees) in providing high quality case management and support work, through a range of child and youth programs and care services. Specifically, this will include effective management of regional service contracts and driving service delivery outcomes, developing team capability and workforce planning, quality and risk management, delivering training and financial reporting. Critical to this role, will be your ability to build on existing stakeholder relationships at a local level and foster the core values of Baptist Care in the region.
An inspiring and hands-on leader of multi-disciplinary and service focused teams, you will demonstrate experience in community development and managing community services, with a working knowledge of government funding. With a deep commitment to a Christian ethos and spiritual maturity, you will have a willingness to be visible, ‘on call’ and to perform ‘hands on’ care work combined with operational management. Completion of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and a background in education, disability, social work and/or youth services is highly desirable.
