The Email Marketing Specialist will manage the process of email marketing for BGEA and its various ministries and departments. This position requires attention to detail and a high degree of accountability. The e-mail marketing specialist will manage multiple
projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy using ever-changing technologies.
I. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
- Faithfully upholds BGEA in prayer
- Consistently participates in daily BGEA staff devotions
- Demonstrates behavior aligned with BGEA’s Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Hallmarks, policies, and expectations
- Effectively represents Jesus Christ to those within both personal and professional spheres of influence
- Analyze open rates, click rates, bounce rates and make recommendations for optimization
- Develop and recommend new Email Marketing Communications Streams and personalized email messaging based on marketing data to more effectively merge ministry objectives with BGEA audiences’ needs
- Analyze website engagement and donation activities relative to specific email campaigns and make recommendations related thereto
- Develop, unify and coordinate all BGEA email marketing campaigns and makes recommendations for optimization
- Work with email vendor to exploit platform for best practices and optimal utilization
- Write and/or edit copy for accuracy and messaging
- Assist Digital Analytics Specialist with quality control of data and processes to maintain accuracy from point of acquisition to import into BGEA’s Master database and delivery/import into Email Marketing Platform
- Manage email list maintenance and subscriber preferences
- Collaborates with Digital Analytics Specialist on data needs specific to email projects
Marginal Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with various BGEA ministry departments
- Work with ministries and various departments to establish analogous benchmarks and measurements for digital communications streams

- Reports to Digital Analytics Specialist
- Provides guidance to Email Marketing Associate
III. Job Specifications
? A. Skills and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Must be committed to excellence and the BGEA mission statement
- Experience in digital communication streams using Silverpop Engage or similar platform
- Excellent copywriting skills
- Basic knowledge of HTML
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, experience using MS Access and Excel preferred
- Basic Photoshop image editing ability
- Experience working with database maintenance and architecture preferred
- Knowledge of web analytics preferred
- Good comprehension and listening skills, with ability to resolve business challenges
- Strong initiative with ability to work independently relative to assigned priorities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work effectively with people at all organizational levels, and with external contacts
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
