Development Director – Global Partners in Life
As the Development Director, this person will play a critical role in increasing Global Partners in Life’s annual contributions by $50,000 in their first year. This position is designed to report directly to the President, yet work independently.
Ideal Candidate:
- Passionate and experienced in caring for orphans and special needs orphans.
- Speaking Mandarin is a plus!
- Experienced in coaching others.
- Knowledgeable and experienced with utilizing social media to promote GPiL.
- Experienced in successfully raising support.
- Proven ability to cultivate relationships with donors.
- Previous sales experience.
- Able to travel to meetings with donors.
- Able to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Previous experience in working with foundations, grant writing, and corporate donors.
- Experienced in writing blogs, newsletters, WordPress, and using MailChimp.
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
- Able to keep security in mind at all times.
- Prepare reports for the president and board.
- Recognize giving trends.
- Ability to develop fundraising strategies and plan events.
- Expand our donor base geographically.
- Design and implement a major donor program.
- Meet with the board of directors.
- Recruit trip participants and lead trips to China.
- Learn from proven fundraisers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Compensation:
Based on experience, a competitive compensation will be offered.
