Vanderbloemen Search Group helps churches and ministries find great staff, and we are looking for a Search Specialist to join our team!

 

Vanderbloemen is a retained executive search firm, serving churches and Christian organizations in all parts of the United States and internationally. Its central office is in the heart of Houston. Our clients come from over 50 different denominations or types of churches, as well as Christian non-profits and relief organizations. The firm represents churches ranging in attendance from 70 to over 70,000. Churches such as Life.Church, Potential Church, Willow Creek, Central Christian Church, Harvest Bible Chapel, Cross Church, and Peachtree Presbyterian are representative of those who choose to retain Vanderbloemen to help find key staff. 

 

Vanderbloemen staffs any position at any size church, and the bulk of our work is made up of searches for senior-level staff. Searches involving Senior Pastor succession are an area of particular expertise. In addition to search work, the firm also provides services in staff consulting, succession planning, and compensation analysis.

The Team: 

The Candidate Relations Team (CRT) serves as an organizational backbone for candidate evaluation, communication, and research at the firm. The CRT interfaces with hundreds of candidates each week, maintaining relationships via email, text, phone, Skype, and in person. Prompt, courteous and thoughtful responses to candidates are of the utmost importance to the business and ministry of the firm.

In addition to communication with candidates, the primary goal of the CRT is to support the searches of our Executive Search Consultants. This includes, but is not limited to, candidate coordination, resume evaluation, phone interviews, internal and external research, sourcing, and providing general operational support.

The CRT is highly collaborative, so the successful candidate will be a team player and can work in a social and often distracting environment.


The Position: 

The primary focus of the Search Specialist is to find, consider, and coordinate candidates for the searches Vanderbloemen Search Group represents. They do this by proactively recruiting candidates, and evaluating candidates along search specific criteria while using discernment.

Qualifications: 

The new Search Specialist must have an entrepreneurial spirit and be a systematic worker. The successful candidate will likely have experience working or volunteering in a church or para-church ministry. Proven experience in creative thinking, problem solving, and organizational development are important for success in this role.

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required and seminary training is a plus but not required.
