Organizational Relationships:

              Reports to: Director of Church Engagement

              Coordinates with: Assigned Virtual Teams, Field Partners, & Donor Relationships

Salary: This position may require some level of personal support raising.

 

JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY:

The Church Partner Liaison is the key point of contact for assigned church/donor relationships for the purpose of effectively equipping those called by God to serve children in need through VisionTrust programs. They are responsible for creating strategic church involvement plans that meet true needs in conjunction with long-term country plans.

 

They are the voice and face of VisionTrust throughout the United States to connect new and existing donors to field partners; coach churches to help their church body advocate for children in need; and provide thorough and timely follow through until end results are achieved within the donor relationship.

Expertise in interpersonal communication is required.  This position is a critical part of the communication between donors and field partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  1. Recruit and develop new church/donor partnerships through intentional relationship
  2. Create & execute Church Involvement Plan
  3. Create & execute short-term mission teams for each relationship within set VT standards and budget.
  4. Develop sources of financial support in the United States through Child Sponsorship, Special Projects and General Funding.
  5. Adhere to and implement project budgets for donor ventures
  6. Produce monthly high level reports on selected key areas

  4. Manage multiple and rapidly changing priorities to meet the needs and expectations of assigned church/donor relationships;

  6. Maintain highly sensitive and confidential information;
  7. Use a high degree of tact, diplomacy, discretion and professionalism in dealing with field partners and church/donor relationships;
  8. Operate a computer, word processing and spreadsheet software and other standard office equipment;
  9. Communicate clearly, effectively & ethically in writing and orally;
  10. Establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with fellow VT staff, donors and field partners encountered in the course of work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  1. Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  This means you have dedicated your life to “live for God and love others.” This includes a consistent witness of Jesus Christ, maintaining a courteous Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of the ministry. Preferred:

  1. Previous experience managing, event planning and/or marketing experience
  2. Previous non-profit or international missions experience
  3. Bachelor diploma or equivalent            

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Physical Demands: domestic travel to develop church/donor relationships and international travel to help relationships learn about and/or serving VT Projects. Position requires approximately no more than 4 weeks international travel with exposure to safety and disease hazards.
