JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

The Senior Digital Marketing Strategist will develop, execute, track, and optimize our digital marketing campaigns and lead generation programs across all digital channels in support of VisionTrust’s organizational fundraising goals. This includes, but is not limited to, e-mails, social media, SEO/SEM, the VisionTrust website, and other digital fundraising platforms and tools. This position requires a unique mixture of creativity, process development, and a vast understanding of digital marketing trends particularly in relation to the non-profit and church sector. The ideal candidate will thrive in a constantly evolving environment and be proactive by nature—possessing an inner drive, a passion to learn, and a hunger to improve the status quo. The successful Senior Digital Marketing Strategist will play an integral role in growing and engaging VisionTrust’s donor base and creating effective strategies that will promote the long-term growth of our ministry.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the development and execution of all Marketing acquisition strategies and lead generation campaigns, including digital campaigns and events
  • Responsible for the effectiveness and growth of VisionTrust’s online experience, including SEO/SEM and social media presence
  • Plan and execute all web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, and social media campaigns
  • Design, build and maintain our social media presence
  • Develop and execute lead generation programs
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
  • Analyze data to determine campaign efficiency. Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
  • Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience of VisionTrust website
  • Regular improvement through both online and offline tutorials as digital marketing strategies are always evolving and improving
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, and provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
  • Become fully immersed in VisionTrust brand and culture, and effectively drive brand awareness
  • Produce and develop brand storytelling via podcasting, live/online events and video

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  1. Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate
  2. Comfortable with numbers and interested in turning data into actionable insights
  3. Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
  4. Working knowledge of email marketing and lead generation through email marketing
  5. Experience in managing multiple social media platforms
  6. Knowledge of website analytics tools
  7. Detail-oriented, highly organized, and can successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
  8. Enthusiastic problem-solver
  9. Motivated self-starter
  10. Excellent communication skills
  11. Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  12. Strong understanding of Microsoft Office programs
  13. A proactive team player, willing to step outside of the job description if necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This involves a consistent witness of Jesus Christ, maintaining a courteous Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of the ministry.
  2. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to VisionTrust’s ministry
  3. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field
  4. 5+ years marketing experience
  5. Previous non-profit, church, or international missions experience

WORKING CONDITIONS:

 

Physical Demands: international travel to learn about VisionTrust programs and/or capture content for the Marketing Team. Position may require up to 5% international travel with exposure to safety and disease hazards.  Mental Demands: While performing the duties of this job, an employee is regularly required to interact with many different personality types throughout the day, use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information and documents; analyze and solve non-routine office problems; observe and interpret people and situations; learn and apply new information or skills; perform highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks; work under deadlines with frequent interruptions; and interact with multiple work teams.
