Bonsack UMC in Roanoke, VA (a progressive church in a suburban setting) is seeking a full-time Director of Children's Ministry. This staff person will develop ministries for children (birth-5th grade), in the church and to the wider community, to help children experience the love of Christ. The Director of Children's Ministry will provide oversight for paid staff and a volunteer team to help each to live out her/his passion in working with children while aligning with the BUMC vision which provides ministry in its suburban context as well as extensive ministry to the inner city. Applicants should have at least three year's experience in a multi-staff church, a degree in Children's Ministry or an equivalent, and gifts of creativity and curriculum writing/development.
