About Freshwater Church:

Freshwater Church is a Christian Missionary Alliance church in St Bonifacius, MN, with a multi-site campus in Waconia, MN. All of our services are identical, both for children and adults.  Freshwater exists to reach non-believing individuals, connect them with other Christians, help them grow in their faith, challenge the growing to serve others, and honor God with their life.

Our weekly average church-wide attendance is between 800-1000, and we are growing from week-to-week. Our youth ministry meets at the Waconia campus location, and is growing at a fast pace (with approx. 100 participating students between our two weekly events) and is in a very healthy place with an amazing core team of leaders and a proven teaching system and programming calendar. 

Purpose:

The Student Minstries Pastor will use their unique gifts and audience to help fulfill the vision of Freshwater Church – to courageously share the life-changing love of Jesus Christ in a real, relevant, and relational manner.

Reporting:

The Student Ministries Pastor will report directly to the Executive Pastor

Responsibilities:The Student Ministries Pastor is responsible for ministry efforts with 6th-12th grade students. The youth pastor will form a strategic partnership with families that recognizes their key role in discipleship. This includes developing and managing volunteer leaders, teaching, planning, administrative, and programming geared towards the goal of transforming young lives into young adults that are close to Christ.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Here are some things that we think would be necessary to ensure a candidate’s success in this role:

1. Meets qualifications for biblical leadership (1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1)
2. Minimum five years experience in youth ministry
3. Agrees to the C&MA Statement of Faith
4. Active member of Freshwater Church
5. College degree (seminary degree preferred, but not required)
6. Background check will be required

 Position Structure and Level:

Salary: Compensation is commensurate with experience. Strong benefits package.
