West Springs Church is looking for a self-motivated, high energy professional to lead the various initiatives regarding the Kids Construction Company Childrens Ministry. This person is responsible for all aspects of ensuring the spiritual growth and development
of children ages birth through 5th grade.
This individual will manage the following tasks:
- Lead a team of volunteers in the operation of a childrens ministry, including weekend services and periodic special events
- Recruit, train and advise up to 40 volunteers for a church wide ministry that serves ages from nursery to 5th grade
- Regularly select and/or develop curriculum for a children's Christian education program that is part of the church's weekend service schedule
- Lead the creative use and proactive upkeep of children's ministry facilitilties and grounds
- Assist in the development of an annual budget for children's ministry
- Implement safety procedures to ensure the well being of the children participating in the ministry
- Serve on a staff full time with the Senior Pastor and Youth Minister and help with general tasks around the church as needed on a weekly basis
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Educational background in Children's Ministry, Christian Ministries, Biblical Studies or related field
- Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Maintain a membership at West Springs Church during employment
- A desire to teach and mentor children
- Ability to build and lead volunteer teams
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Strong commitment to children and families
- Competent in the use of technology to accomplish above goals
