Salem Media Group in San Antonio, TX seeks an Operations Director for cluster of multiple AM stations. Prior experience and success in the following areas are essential hiring considerations:
• Demonstrable experience and success with Enco operating system
• Minimum three years prior experience in the management of complex automated elements and syndicated network elements.
• Experience and demonstrable operational excellence in spoken word formats;
• Strong leadership and success in day to day management of all programming operations and department personnel, including heavy production load of long-form programs, scheduling of personnel, daily/weekly freshening of nationally-syndicated program promos and local program promos.
• Command of technical operating elements of a (mostly) automated operation
• Success in team collaboration with other department heads and co-workers
• Knowledge of syndicated programming scheduling and execution
• Strategic programming knowledge; Can you 'hear it in your head' and get your team to execute that vision?
• Experience with mobile and streaming platforms and ad-insertion technologies is important.
The ideal candidate we seek is a driver who is highly organized and is a strong leader who takes great care to localize otherwise nationally-syndicated interested in being part of a driven and successful team.
Our ideal candidate would have strong Enco experience and be able to strategically drive the execution of our programming strategy on all of our stations, including a Spanish speaking format (being bi-lingual is not an essential requirement but would be valuable).
The ideal candidate would have strong Programming experience in News/Talk, Talk/Teach Christian, Sports, Automation, Syndication or other formats driven by multiple automated programming elements.
