Responsible for organizing all phases of worship music throughout the church’s ministry, along with media and works in coordination with the Lead Pastor to lead the congregation in dynamic praise of our Lord Jesus Christ each Sunday. Heatherwood, currently, has both traditional and contemporary worship styles. This person would work alongside and develop other musicians, a choir for our traditional worship service and a praise team/band for our contemporary worship service. The position also involves overseeing the missions ministry of the church that includes missions through small groups and implementation of an Acts 1:8 strategy for the church. The ideal candidate for this position will be highly motivated, organized and above all a person of prayer. This pastor will partner with the lead pastor (and other staff) to lead the church's overall mission: to make, mature and mobilize disciples of Jesus who live the gospel, love people and multiply their life into others.
Heatherwood is a diverse church with young and old, but continues to reach young families as the facility is positioned across from 2,600 homes. The Atlanta metroplex continues to expand southward and Newnan expects to double in the bext five years. Heatherwood is five minutes off I-85 and 20 minutes from the ATL airport.
