Position Summary

The Creative Experience Director is responsible for the development of a new next generation weekend experience that engages teenagers in a fun and relevant way. It will include live music, curated media content and fun Jimmy Fallon type experiences. This position will also lead and expand the UGTV program through innovation, leadership and collaboration. They will also lend teaching support to the Underground’s Film School and work in some phases of video project development.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities


Weekend Experience Director

 Produce and lead teams that will create a fun and interactive weekend stage experience that engages teenagers in a fun and relevant way.

 Lead and develop talent for emceeing.

 Recruit and oversee students who create media content for the weekend.

 Lead students with interests in lights and sound by connecting them with professionals in these fields who can train them.

 Oversee the development of the media and visuals on the screens on the weekends.


UGTV Director

 Lead and oversee all aspect of the UGTV operations.

 Recruit, lead and schedule teenagers in the UGTV experience.

 Increase online viewership by promoting UGTV through various marketing outlets.

 Create opportunities and experiences for students to experience community and to connect with one another during the week and on weekends.

 Recruit and develop leaders within the program by fostering a peer-to-peer environment.

 Empower student leaders by giving them a voice in the expansion of the program.

 Develop student’s artistic skills and equipment proficiency.

 Grow the program by increasing the number of participants

 Create an alumni program with the purpose of supporting past students, recruitment of instructors/mentors and overall goodwill ambassadors of The Underground.


Teaching and Production

 Provide teaching instruction within the Underground’s Film School.

 Work on video/film productions on the technical and producer ends. Work in some phases of video project development (i.e. pre-pro, prod, post, etc).


Ministry Passion (Teen Engagement)

 In conjunction with the leadership team develop philosophies and systems to engage teenagers in spiritual growth and discussions within the UGTV and the weekend experience.

 Be one of the organization's liaisons/public faces to Greater Cincinnati (i.e. schools, churches, youth organizations, etc) and beyond for UGTV.



Qualifications


Required Education/Training

 Requires a bachelor's degree preferred in Film, Communication Arts, Electronic Media or related degree.


Required Experience

 Two to four years leading a media-related program preferably involving teens.

 Two to four years of video production experience.

 Four years experience in one or more of the following areas: editing, post- production, film production or media arts.

 Working with DSLR cameras and other video cameras (RED, BlackMagic, etc).

 Computer software: Premiere, AfterEffects (Final Cut X and Cinema 4D preferred too).

 Social media experience.


Preferred Experience

 Two to four years experience working or volunteering in youth ministry.

 Volunteer coordination.

• This position requires working at least one weekend night.

• Salary will be based upon experience.

Position is Full-Time with benefits.  Salary is $40,000-$50,000, based on experience.
