Reports to: KFSH Sales Manager (Additional oversight from Program Director)

 

Shift/Hours/Status: This is a FULL-TIME, 40 hour per week position that includes benefits.

 

Compensation: Will be based on previous experience.

 

Job Responsibilities and Pre-Requisites:

Promotions Director to develop promotional opportunities and create/plan/execute promo events.  Schedule and manage ‘street team’.  Our position requires someone outgoing, personable and willing to learn in a fast paced environment. Requires a working knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, Photo Shop and Outlook software, as well as excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.   Must be detail oriented. Good under pressure…unflappable…can handle multiple challenges simultaneously w/o breaking a sweat.  Promotions or similar experience required. Must have excellent driving record with valid California Driver License and proof of insurance.  Primary work days Monday – Friday, with some weekend work required.  This job based in Orange County, California.

 

•    Event PreparationLiaison between Salem LA and outside vendors regarding: event set-up, coordinating venue needs, working with A/V techs for sound/video, screens, power point presentations, etc.

 

o Gathering of all items needed for all off-site promotions, including giveaway items and signage.  May include van load in and load out.

o Will interact with other Salem LA departments to implement promotional plans

 

•    Listener relationsHandles all interaction with winners via e-mail, phone and mail.  Answers questions pertaining to contesting and sending out rules when requested.  ‘Gets’ the CCM format.

 

•    Contesting – Oversee Creation of winner sheets and congratulation letters for winners.  Prize fulfillment and general contest implementation (entry forms and boxes).  Also must keep track of on-line registrations for upcoming events.

 

Responsible for staff keeping tabs on all giveaway items and ordering as necessary.

 

•    Off-site events May be required to work off-site events during the week AND on weekends as needed. Must be available to be at most major station events (i.e. Fishfest etc.)


Departmental Relationships: This position will also work closely with other departments, including Sales and Programming.
