Covered Bridge provides a transitional house - a six to twelve month aftercare residential Christian discipleship program for up to 9 men.  We are a team of Christians with a mission to help men break the destructive power of addictive thinking and behaviors and to equip them with the biblical character and practical skills necessary to be successful in everyday life. 

 

The right person will be a spiritually mature man with a history of ministering to men in recovery from drug and alcohol abuse.  A practical man who is able to coordinate and lead community volunteer and light house maintenance projects. The right person loves the Lord, has a servants heart with a passion to help hurting people.  He will be grace filled and have the ability to be non-reactive in difficult situations.  This person will be a team player who can follow administrative direction but can also be proactive. 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION Overnight and Saturday oversight of men

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Spiritually-minded and mature
  • A heart for men who have experienced serious difficulties in life
  • High School education college preferred
  • Proven ministry experience
  • Ability to lead community service and light maintancnce projects
  • Ability to be directive
  • Valid Drivers Lisc.
  • Computer proficiency
  • Agrees with the statement of faith and missions statement of Covered Bridge
  • Recommendation by his pastor
  • Practical knowledge and application of the Scriptures
  • If in recovery, a minimum of three years continuous sobriety and freedom from mind-altering drugs

 

Compensation

  • Room (apartment) & Board
  • Additional financial compensation depending upon availability, experience and abilities

The mission of Covered Bridge Therapeutic Communities, Inc. is to reconcile men and women whose lives have been affected by substance abuse to God and society by providing a program of recovery and support using Biblical principles within a residential environment.  Residents of Covered Bridge homes learn to live productively while being free from substance abuse and addiction through individual counseling, 12-step meetings, educational and vocational assistance and other life skills training.  Our residential program includes an array of non-medical support services while providing full-time supervision and accountability that fosters independent living.
