Business and Traffic Manager

 

Salem Media Group is America’s leading multimedia company specializing in Christian and conservative content, with media properties comprising radio, digital media and book and newsletter publishing.  We currently have a position available for a Full-Time Business and Traffic Manager at our radio station business unit in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Summary:

The Business and Traffic Manager must have the ability to interact with all levels of staff.  This person must be able to see the bigger picture and prioritize tasks as they arise.  Someone with a keen eye for detail will flourish in this role.

 

The ideal Business Manager is a dedicated, hardworking team player that thrives in a demanding fast-paced environment full of a variety of personalities.  This person must maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate a high level of honesty, trustworthiness, integrity and cultural awareness.  He or she should be friendly, approachable and able to work well with others. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Advertising clients’ contract input and commercial scheduling using the WIDE ORBIT software system
  • Work with production director to ensure commercial copy is on hand and produced
  • Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
  • Weekly billing
  • Regular revenue and financial reporting with intensive month-end reporting and reconciliation duties
  • Assist General Manager with monthly commissions, monthly AR aging report/collections, monthly financial reconciliation, shopping program trade reconciliations, weekly revenue projections, quarterly reforecasts and annual budgeting.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Must have prior experience in Office Management, and AP/AR.
  • Must have extensive experience with broadcast traffic/scheduling software. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Detail-oriented with the discipline and capacity to follow-through on projects.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent a must.  BA or BS desired.
  • Must possess the ability to work in what will initially be a “streamlined” operation.
