Director of Music Ministries

Request for Director of Music Ministries applicants:

Union UMC, Irmo, SC, seeks a full-time Director of Music Ministries to oversee and set the vision for both traditional and contemporary worship services, including the adult choirs, youth choir, children’s choir, and hand bell choirs, as well as work closely together with other musical groups such as the brass ensemble, youth strings, liturgical dance groups and praise band.  We are looking for a team player with strong leadership and communication skills who is experienced and trained in traditional and contemporary worship music.

Historically strong as a spiritual anchor in the Irmo, SC area, Union UMC serves a diverse community and congregation.  The church is blessed with excellent facilities and resources for continued growth as it welcomes persons from the established neighborhoods nearby, and the many new subdivision communities in the area.  Union has a passionate, missional, Christ-centered, and community focused congregation.  Our mission is to Know Christ, Share Faith, and Show Grace, as we make disciples for Christ.  Come be a part of a dynamic 2400+ member congregation that is rooted in a tradition of service, while making room for new traditions to blossom.
