Job Description:

People to share with us in ministry to hurting kids

In 1973 when we began we had 7 kids and now in 2017 we average 67 persons tin care. Our need is for two single adults and one couple who really enjoy youth. You must still have energy-joy for full time hours of serving. The desire to go to games that our kids play weekly during their sports season-choir presentations that our youth sing in-praise and worship services that we have each week must be part of your week. You will have 1 1/2 days off per week and no overnight duties with the exception of one week per year when a staff member goes on vacation.

We have interviewed a number of people who want to know what are they getting in return from serving here-this has been very frustrating as we are praying for servants like ourselves who desire to serve the broken-abandoned children who find this to be their home.

We provide you with private housing which all include: Bathroom-bedroom-kitchen-living room and monthly stipend-life and health insurance-utilities-cell phone-internet and food. You may have two small animals (dog must be on a leash when out of your personal space).

When you apply the requirement is two years minimum experience with children. This can be covered with church-youth group-camp-education-scout expereince. Thank you for looking at our web site: ahome2come2.com to better understand our needs.

About Hope House, Inc.

In 1973, Donnalee Velvick saw a need for a home that would benefit "hard-to-place" kids. Children who have mental, physical, and/or emotional challenges often "fall through the cracks" in our society. Her dream grew and developed into Hope House Home For Children. Hope House is located just west of the city limits of Nampa, Idaho, on approximately 75 acres in six different homes according to age, gender, and ability. We provide a home for approximately 40 youths under the age of eighteen and approximately 20 disabled young adults. Our staff consists of twelve full-time volunteers who live on the premises, ten College Interns and student helpers, as well as teachers, cooks and support personnel. Donnalee's mobile phone is 208.890.5000. Please visit our web site for details.
