Music Arts Leader/Director

City of Light Church is a new multiethnic church with the mission to help all people reach their God-given potential. We are currently mobile (setup/tear down weekly) and meet in a local movie theater each week in a suburb of Milwaukee, WI. Church size is approx 200-250.

The person in this role must have a solid relationship with Jesus and can disciple/mentor others spiritually and musically.

Because we are a multiethnic church, we play various styles of Christian and inspirational music. Influences range from Hillsongs, Bethel Music, Israel Houghton, Travis Greene, Tori Kelly, Tye Tribbett, to Kirk Franklin. If a candidate is not familiar with many styles, they must be open and eager to learn.

The person in this role would engage in the following each week:

• Spend time with the Lead Pastor to understand his heart for God-centered music and the chuch vision
• Prepare song sets and perform administrative tasks needed to have an excellent experience Sundays
• Lead singers and band in rehearsal at least once a week
• Spend time intentionally developing relationships with the singers and band
• Assist in planning culturally diverse music events and Worship music nights
• Learn various styles and cultures of music to effectively lead a diverse congregation in music each week
