Vanderbloemen Search Group helps churches and ministries find great staff, and we are looking for an Executive Assistant to join our team!

Vanderbloemen is a retained executive search firm serving churches and Christian organizations in all parts of the United States and internationally. Its central office is in the heart of Houston. Our clients come from over 50 different denominations or types of churches as well as Christian non-profits and relief organizations. The firm represents churches ranging in attendance from 70 to over 70,000. Churches such as Life.Church, Potential Church, Willow Creek, Central Christian Church, Harvest Bible Chapel, Cross Church, and Peachtree Presbyterian are representative of those who choose to retain Vanderbloemen to help find key staff. 

Vanderbloemen staffs any position at any size church, and the bulk of our work is made up of searches for senior-level staff. Searches involving Senior Pastor succession are an area of particular expertise. In addition to search work, the firm also provides services in staff consulting, succession planning, and compensation analysis.

Position Summary:

The Executive Assistant is a trusted, highly proficient individual. They will provide high-level support to the Operations Team of Vanderbloemen, in a wide range of activities, including but not limited to management of search work, travel, and administrative responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will likely have prior experience assisting an executive or senior leader in a business, church, or para-church ministry. They must be passionate about serving the local church and recognize the meaning in this role. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be creative and enjoy working within a small, entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven and results-driven. They will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations with the ability to juggle and balance multiple priorities.


What We Are Searching For:

The Executive Assistant must have an entrepreneurial spirit and be an organizational builder. They will have excellent administrative skills with an innate attention to detail. They must possess a propensity for "yes" with the ability to gracefully multitask and manage several projects at once. The Executive Assistant will be responsible for coordinating travel, scheduling appointments and meetings, communicating with clients and candidates, helping facilitate workshops and conferences, and proactively look for new ways to help serve Vanderbloemen and its clients with a customer-service driven attitude.


Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

Ideally, the prospective candidate would have had previous experience assisting senior level staff at a business, rapidly-growing church, or para-church organization. In order to successfully execute the responsibilities of this role, proven experience in leadership, creative thinking, problem solving, and organizational development are needed.
