Job Description
Provide a positive, Christlike example
HOSPITALITY
- Greet new students and families
-Oversee completion of application
-Review code of conduct with each student and explain and obtain
- Review Daily schedule with new students and families
- Maintain birthday list and plan birthday desserts
- Maintain discipline and enforce rules
PROGRAMS
- Build strong relationships with students
- Act as point person for issues or concerns involving the students
- Plan and lead weekly bible study
COMMUNICATION
- Maintain relationships with parents
-Procure instructors and offer parenting classes monthly
-Send a monthly postcard/letter which includes class schedule, calendar and upcoming special events to all families
- Create permission slips and student event postcards 7—10 days before event
- Contact caseworkers monthly
- Recruit volunteers
-Tutors
-Clubs, youth groups, men’s groups, women’s groups, Bible Study groups and small groups
- Maintain a positive relationship with neighbors/community
- Visit schools, youth groups, clubs and youth organizations at least once a week
ADMINISTRATIVE
- Provide weekly report to program director
- Attend weekly staff meeting
- Recruit and hire summer interns and workers
- Supervise student workers
- Maintain student worker voucher to program director bi-weekly
- Supervise and organize sports league as needed until sports director is hired
- Plan Trivia trips every other month
- Prepare yearly budget
- Present budget to program director first staff meeting in October
EVENTS
- Organize and execute two student fundraisers yearly
-Spring Break ski trip raffle
-Camp Electric
-Battle of the Bands
- Hold key role for community events as delegated by program director
- Coordinate activities for alternative breaker students
- Create Christmas wish list cards and obtain sponsors for students
- Coordinate donation of school supplies and backpacks
-Schedule date of give away
- Plan Fun Friday Events
- Plan Sunday Night Live Events with Music Director
FOOD SERVICE
- Maintain proper food service/handling license
- Supervise kitchen workers
- Work in the kitchen and prepare meals if necessary
JANITORIAL
- Supervise student workers
- Recruit student workers as needed
- Coordinate Upper workers work schedule with house parent
- Clean up surprise messes
BUILDING
- Maintain building as necessary
-Repair what you can
-Solicit professional help if necessary
- Maintain and enforce safety rules
- Coordinate schedule services
-Academic Pest Control
-Firetron- annual check of extinguishers
