The IT Support Technician provides end-user support and training to Salem Web Network staff. The position is a full time, in house role. The successful IT Support Technician will be responsible for utilizing his/her skills to provide
assistance to the IT Manager and Admin team in resolving technical problems within network that cover a multitude of technical disciplines. The IT Support Technician position is the first level of support for Salem employees and becomes the voice and face
of the IT department to our customers.
Responsibilities include allocation and maintenance of IT equipment. This includes troubleshooting of all IT related hardware and software such as PCs/ Macs, wireless handheld devices, printers and other end user devices. The IT Support will also
assist in IT-related projects and the management of the network infrastructure and act as a backup to the IT Manager. 1-2 years direct experience with desktop support. Position reports directly to the IT Manager.
Understanding of basic computer/network concepts and terms
College or technical degree in Information Technology or related, highly preferred. HS diploma required.
Experience in Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience with remote support tools a plus
Experience with iOS devices and applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Willingness to work after hours/on -call to meet deadlines. including weekends, nights, & holidays to meet project deadlines or for emergencies.
Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Must be highly self-motivated and have strong customer service skills.
