The Student Ministry, known as Refuge, exists as an expression of Christ Church, designed to impact students from grades 6-12. We strive to create a revivalist culture, where students are set apart for love, to walk in covenant with God, and carry His glory to the ends of the earth.
We are seeking the next great Student Ministry Worship Leader to lead the middle and high school ministries and to oversee and develop a strong worship arts team for the student ministry. The Worship Leader will report directly to and work closely with the Student Directors to plan, implement, and lead the ministry in faithful, engaging, and relevant worship. This person will lead with both humility and excellence, so that they stay both fresh and fruitful in the high calling of leading worship, while also encouraging their team members to do the same. This Student Worship leader will be responsible to relationally invest their time and energy into student worship participants, and into the student ministry at large. This relational investment will also involve recruitment, training, and motivating students and lay leaders for the worship band and tech team.
This part-time position is an exciting and unique ministry opportunity in both its context and in its compensation. In addition to the competitive salary, the hired candidate will also be able to pursue fully-scholarshipped seminary education through Asbury Theological Seminary's Memphis Extension Site.
