Who we are:
Fresh Encounter Fellowship is a non-denominational group that meets in Harlan, Iowa. We have been in existence since 2005. We are truly a group that has wide variety of Church backgrounds. Our average member age tends to be younger and we have a large number of children and teens. We have ample class rooms and surrounding grounds. We believe in multitasking and working together to get the things done that need to be done. We believe in the leading and power of the Holy Spirit but would not be considered a charismatic group. We have a true forward momentum and we are looking for the right person to help us continue to grow. We are a very relaxed, friendly, contemporary group. We are also a group that is very Biblically grounded and would want anyone that joined up to be the same. This is not a typical small-town church. General Purpose of Position:
We are looking for a Worship leader with a good background in the technical side of worship leading. We also would want someone that can help our volunteers with the youth. We see this as 60% worship leader and 40% youth leader. Anyone who comes here must be ready to wear “several hats” in the day to day work of this church.
We want a worship experience that is well thought out and well planned but is in no way a performance. We also want someone that can balance the desire to help each member be the best possible version of themselves but also keeping in mind the personality and time restraints of volunteers. Good communication is a must.
We want someone to help lead the Youth with the help of our incredible volunteers. More than programs we desire that our youth feel connected to one another and to the church.

We are searching for someone who feels like after hearing more about us feels coming to Fresh Encounter is something that they are called to do not just finding a job. We need someone who can see what needs to be done and do it. We want someone to become a part of our family. We are looking to be a blessing in their life as much as they are a blessing to us. We want someone who will create an atmosphere of worship and connection every week. We want someone to help our youth grow. We are seeking someone who can be flexible and operate in both areas of ministry. We are looking for someone who has a heart for service and wants to help the church grow. We are not looking for someone who can just preform but someone who can lead. We feel flexibility is key to a good working relationship within FEF.
