GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Senior Director is responsible for the strategic execution and management of the creative production for sales and fundraising and internal programs. Manage development, implementation and performance of CRISTA’s production, data and online resources. Provide project management, organize, and maintain project workflow, including schedules, budgets and creative briefs. Develop a coordinated matrix of communication and solicitation strategies involving email, direct mail, newspaper, radio, phone/mail, video, database, photography, online tools, data and digital marketing, all focused on insuring ongoing annual support and customer loyalty. Provide strategic direction and long/short-range planning for growing revenue while supporting the goals of CRISTA. Ensure that CRISTA is a leader among peers as measured externally in terms of total dollars, renewal and retention rates, consistency of giving and average gift size, and internally in terms of clean data, ease of access to data and timely donor stewardship. Participate in the strategy and leadership of all CRISTA Resource Advancement.

  1. Manage staff to meet deadlines and produce quality work under designated timelines. Articulate clearly the messages of the organization to its audiences.   Function in a team setting and contribute creatively to the Fundraising and Marketing Group.  
  2. Administer Creative Services execution including; determining frequency, strategic drop dates, content focus, crafting “the ask” within the content, and response device for each ministry.       
  3. Manage the digital marketing and online giving portal for each ministry and CRISTA.        
  4. Govern CRISTA acquisition programs. Develop strategic plan for expansion of donor and customer base.
  5. Oversee and/or produce all donor and assigned customer informational materials, reports and acknowledgment letters.
  6. Develop a three-year funding and online plans to increase brand awareness and visibility for CRISTA and its ministry. Establish, submit and monitor the annual budget.            
  7. Work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers and customers.
  8. Perform other related duties as assigned.            

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Select, hire, direct, train, evaluate, correct and recommend termination for all Creative Services staff and contractors.  

Strong managerial, leadership and supervisory skills. Demonstrate organizational and communication skills as well as ability to work with and motivate other development professionals and volunteers.

 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

(Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience)

Christian Commitment: A deep and abiding faith that is fully surrendered to the will of Jesus Christ, evidenced by a lifestyle that is consistent with biblical principles in word and deed. Commitment to spiritual growth and development. Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader.

 Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent.Relevant work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
Experience:

  • Seven years of progressively responsible marketing management experience and above.
  • Five years of fundraising or revenue generation experience.
  • Demonstrated analytical and fundraising skills with the ability to recognize opportunities, identify critical, high pay-off activities and prioritize them to attain goals.
  • Experience managing broad based annual programs with active donor numbers higher than 40,000.

 Software and Equipment Used:

  • Database management, gift processing and donor relations.
  • Excellent skill and understanding of computer and constituent software required, including Microsoft Excel.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Able to think ahead and plan over a two to five year time span.
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both strategic and functional levels.
  • Technical skills in strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, market research, planning and promotion.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Adherence to CRISTA organizational values.
  • Work cooperatively to achieve common goals; support cooperation, collaborating and sharing of information while providing the best quality product available and continuously upgrade standards to maintain quality, in all areas of responsibility.
  • Able to provide direction and motivation to others through communication, modeling appropriate behavior, optimism and high achievement.
  • Openness to new ideas and their implementation. Able to react and adapt to changing situations appropriately.
  • Listen carefully to and understand customers’ needs, both internally and externally. Proactively respond to those needs in a consistent and timely manner.
  • Able to manage, develop, motivate, and mentor staff.
  • Positions assigned to CRISTA’s Shoreline Campus or Crista Shores will require working in areas with unsupervised access to vulnerable adults through CRISTA’s Senior Living Ministry.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience)

Education: Master’s degree in business, marketing or equivalent.

Experience: Marketing and fundraising in a non-profit organization; direct marking experience.

Licensure/Certification: CFRE certified 
Software and Equipment Used: Salesforce experience or Salesforce certification
