About Bethel Church: We are a growing church in rural Southwest Lousiana. Our church is on Interstate 10 (about 30 minutes from 2 small cities - Lake Charles & Lafayette; an hour from two mid-sized cities - Baton Rouge & Beaumont, and 2.5 hours from 2 large cities- Houston & New Orleans). Our community is 10,000 and growing, and our reach radius is 35,000+.
Bethel has doubled in size over the past 5 years (from 300 - 600), and we beleive that God will send 1000 people here for Easter. We have a new kids building and are about to build a new youth outreach center. There are so many exciting things going on at Bethel, and we are looking for someone to has a heart to reach our community and provide leadership to our unique ministry structure.
One Sentence Job Description: To provide leadership and vision for our kids and student ministries and oversee ministry leadership team.

The next gen pastor will oversee all listed personnel (who are all paid, some minimally). The next gen pastor will help provide leadership and accountability to each area of ministry. Here is a breakdown of these roles:
KIDSCOVE DIRECTOR – to provide general leadership of our nursery program
5 CAPTAINS – one captain for each service in each nursery (infant/toddler)
REACH DIRECTOR – to provide direction to engage to the unchurched
CONNECT DIRECTOR – to help assimilate guests to the ministry, church, & others
GROW DIRECTOR – to provide leadership in assisting spiritually growth to students and their parents
SEND DIRECTOR – to oversee volunteer base of recruiting, equipping, and training of both adults and students
RUSH PASTOR – to provide general leadership of our college ministry
Qualifications:
- Be a committed follower of Christ called to student ministry
- Have the personality to provide accountability and leadership for this structure
- Agree with our non-negotiables as a church, our doctrine, and our vision
- Have experience leading in student ministry and/or kids ministry
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to all areas from birth to college, casting vision and holding our team accountable to that vision
- Completing all pastoral duties
