First Baptist Church of Brunswick, Georgia —located in the Golden Isles of southeast Georgia—is seeking a full-time Contemporary Worship Leader/Young Adults Pastor who can lead the contemporary worship service with excellence and develop and lead a Young Adults ministry. Our church averages 600 in worship with two worship services (contemporary and blended) and two Bible Study Fellowship (Sunday School) hours. Our purpose is to effectively lead others from where they are to where God wants them to be.
The Contemporary Worship Leader is responsible for providing an atmosphere of worship that ushers the congregation into the presence of God. He will provide leadership for all aspects of the contemporary worship service, and for other worship services when asked or needed. The Young Adults Pastor is responsible for designing effective strategies and ministries to reach, enlist and fully integrate young adults and their families into the life of the church fellowship.
The ideal candidate will have experience in planning and leading contemporary worship, to include leading with an instrument and demonstrating strong vocal ability. He will have knowledge of using sound, video, and graphics in worship, demonstrated ability to read music charts and direct band members, and be able to excel in creating a meaningful worship experience. The ideal candidate will also have a heart for reaching young adults and families within the church and the community and be able to create and implement strategies to develop and grow their faith.
This position requires excellent leadership and organizational skills, the ability to plan and develop a ministry budget, a commitment to the doctrine and theology of the Baptist Faith and Message, and a servant’s heart.
