Job Summary:
The Facilities Specialist reports directly to the Facilities Manager and is responsible for supporting all facilities functions.
Essential Functions:
Maintenance
• Facility maintenance including painting, repairs, light plumbing and janitorial
• Building and tower site maintenance and grounds keeping
• Assist with upkeep of company vehicles
• Coordinate onsite maintenance work with vendor
• Facilitate vendors visits during service calls
• Assist with onsite event setups and break downs
• Provide support and service during events, i.e. Sharathon
Inventory
• Purchase, transport, and stock supplies
• Assist with fixed asset inventory
Safety & Security
• Identify and resolve safety hazards and security issues
• Maintain & control key assignment
Non-Essential Functions:
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma
License/Certifications:
Valid driver’s license required
Experience:
Minimum 2 years building maintenance or related experience
Mechanical experience and skills, preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to work effectively and multitask with minimal supervision
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to properly use power tools
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to maintain a clean driving record
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Experience in using a computer, basic internet and emails
Working Conditions and Environment:
Travel:
Within Houston Metropolitan Area
Nights/Weekends/Holidays:
Occasional night/weekend project work
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift over 100 lbs.
• Reach overhead
• Frequent kneeling, squatting and standing
• Climb ladders and perform maintenance activities
• Must be able to drive a passenger van
