DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMMING - TRINITY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Background in Christian Education preferred
- Knowledge of the basic theological belief of the United Methodist Church
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Responsibilities:
v Children
- Secure volunteers to teach Sunday School
- Order Sunday School materials and supplies
- Work with the Music Director to plan Wednesday evening children’s program
- Secure volunteers for Wednesday evening programming
- Purchase supplies for Wednesday evening
- Plan with coordinator of VBS the theme and design of VBS and secure volunteers
- Be available to assist with VBS and Wednesday evening programming
- Work with volunteer Nursery Coordinator to provide necessary supplies
- Work with the Pastor to plan for and observe Promotion Sunday
- Assure all volunteers have current background checks and are Safe Sanctuary trained
v Youth
- Secure volunteers to assist with Sunday evening programs, special events and retreats
- Implement the Safe Sanctuary policy of the church to include background checks and training of volunteers as well as permission slips and medical forms for all participants
- Provide leadership in Sunday evening programming for the United Methodist Youth Fellowship
- Assist with the planning of special events and trips involving youth
- Provide mission opportunities for the UMYF program
- Participate in and chaperone retreats and trips with the UMYF
- Work with parents to plan and evaluate the youth program
- Assist the Pastor with Confirmation classes and other activities as requested
- Work with the Pastor to plan and observe Graduate Sunday, Youth Sunday, and Confirmation Sunday
v Adults
- Order Sunday School curriculum
- Approve all Bible study materials
- Plan Women’s Ministry events
- Lead and organize the Stephen Ministry
- Assist the Pastor with Conference initiatives
- Organize annual mission projects such as Operation Christmas Child
- Assist with special programming initiatives and program scheduling
v Other duties as assigned by the Pastor
