Freelance Investment Writer - Intern

Responsibilities:

Our freelance writers are tasked with writing polished, sharp and colorful 300-1,000 word posts on investing and the stock market.  We’re looking to hire a bright student that has a passion for research and writing and confident in their abilities to write fresh, resonating and engaging posts.  This is high-volume content creation, which means we will assign you several post per week on a 1-2 day deadline.   

We want articles that are well researched and share a unique opportunity with our audience.  The articles must be relevant to investors.  Articles can be about:

• US stocks
• Large internet stocks
• Exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and Mutual funds
• Dividends
• Options trading
• Investor education and strategies
• Commodities

Requirements:

• Able to speak and write fluently in English
• Proven ability to write clearly and accurately on tight deadlines with excellent proofreading skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to communicate complex investment concepts in writing
• Familiar with investment jargon
• Understand the basics of search-engine optimization (SEO) and how to utilize keywords in body and headline text
• Able to be objective, logical and creative when analyzing frontier and emerging markets
• Strong research and analytical skills 
• Solid understanding of digital media
• Have a vested interest in challenging yourself as a writer

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of investing products, including stocks, mutual funds, ETFs, bonds, options and commodities
• Copy editing skills
