Located in the heart of East Tennessee, Christ Fellowship is a nondenominational church whose
primary vision is “to equip individuals to be all God designed them to be.”
Christ Fellowship has grown from a small traditional church of just 60 people to over 2,000
attendees. Strategically nestled within the Tri-Cities, Christ Fellowship sits
upon 115-acres of land, and is dedicated to reach people of all ages, races, and backgrounds
for the cause of Christ. Christ Fellowship is known for its emphasis on leadership development
at all phases of life. The church has extraordinary programming and environments for young people to discover and grow in their relationship with God.
Position Description
The role of the High School and Young Adult Pastor is to assist the Lead Pastor,
Executive Director and staff in overseeing the ministry and outreach to
secondary school students and young adults. The High School and Young Adult Pastor
will work alongside staff and leaders to carry out key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
1. Focused work: In accountability to the Lead Pastor and Executive Director,
the High School and Young Adult Pastor will develop ministry and
outreach opportunities to high school students and young adults.
Responsibilities include:
a) Developing programs, goals, and measures that serve the spiritual
needs of students, their families and young adults in accordance with the
church's vision, mission, and core values.
b) Counseling on an as needed basis.
c) Designing and implementing monthly outreach or social events for students.
d) Designing and implementing monthly outreach or social events for young adults.
e) Leading a Youth Leadership Track that meets monthly and where students are
encouraged, challenged and inspired.
f) Addressing specific congregational needs as they arise through
one-on-one or small group meetings, visits, or other connections appropriate to the circumstances.
g) Developing environments that cultivate and support spiritual growth.
h) Teaching during the Sunday youth service on a consistent basis.
2. Staff Supervision and Development: The High School and
Young Adult Pastor leads, evaluates and coaches others by:
a) Encouraging, uplifting, and pastoring individuals.
b) Serving as a motivating, inspiring and engaging leader.
c) Supervising and leading Grounded Youth Middle School Director.
d) Communicating the vision of Christ Fellowship on a consistent basis.
e) Coordinating the recruitment, training and scheduling of all volunteers in the
High School Grounded Youth program and Young Adult Ministry.
f) Developing diverse and dynamic teams for all areas of
the High School and Young Adult Ministry.
