Job Description for Worship Pastor/Director of LifePoint Church

Position Objective  

• To provide leadership to the worship and audio/technology of LifePoint Church.

Position Description

• The Worship Pastor/Director will provide direction for each worship service and special programs of LPC (although the Lead Pastor will provide overall direction and theme, the Worship Pastor/Director will oversee and coordinate all the details that each service involves).
• The Worship Pastor/Director will provide vision and be creative in leading people to God through music, words, and song.
• Must have a servant’s heart and the ability to build, encourage and empower people to use their God-given abilities for the glory of God.

Qualifications

1. A clear testimony of faith in Christ Jesus and a growing relationship with Him.
2. Commitment to The Jesus Life at and away from the church building, including their online presence.
3. Commitment to the Mission, Vision, and worship philosophy of LifePoint Church.
4. Has experienced and demonstrated excellence as a Worship Leader.

Abilities

• A person who is a vocalist and a musician.
• A person with the musical skills and knowledge necessary to direct a worship band.
• A person with relational skills who is enthusiastic about leading a large group in worship.
• A person who is self-motivated.
• A person who is a team player.
• A person who is skilled in the use of technology in worship and in the use of sound, lighting, computers, Pro-presenter, and Live streaming.

Responsibilities

• Build necessary teams to cover multiple services for Sunday mornings.
• Plan corporate worship services in coordination with the Lead Pastor.
• Oversee song, technology, sound, lighting and musicians of LifePoint Church.
• Serve as lead worshipper.
• Plan and direct practices and rehearsals.
• Coordinate training as necessary.
• Oversee and prepare yearly budget.
