Job Title: Member Services Representative, Onboarding
Department: Communications and Administrative Services
Reports to: Director, Communications and Administrative Services
Salary: Salary Commensurate with Experience

Ministry Focus
Since MissionGO is a Christian mission organization whose role involves both ministry in and to the local church, both in the US and abroad, and since it is expected of our donor base that we operate as a Christian ministry giving honor to Jesus Christ, each employee shall:

  1. Participate in weekly prayer meetings and corporate prayers.
  2. Pray with missionaries when requested by the same or when deemed appropriate with missionary permission. (This will apply to some positions more than others.)
  3. Conduct themselves in a Christ-like manner at work and outside the workplace.
  4. Promote and defend the evangelical approach to ministry that MissionGO has adopted and put into practice.

It is further recognized that, since MissionGO is a faith-based ministry, both in the US and abroad, each employee should be a member in good standing of a church that is in agreement with the Statement of Faith of MissionGO.

Job Overview
This full-time position will act as a support to the Director of Communications and Administrative Services for onboarding new missionaries, equipping our Recruitment Department with needed materials for upcoming events, and assisting with internal and external communications. The purpose of this position is to serve career missionaries out on the field, along with staff at the Home Office, with diligence, positivity, and excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Onboards incoming Missionary Candidates from acceptance to deployment to the field.
  • Continues to improve and develop the onboarding process.
  • Prepares applications for Candidate Committee Interviews.
  • Schedules Missionary Candidate Interviews.
  • May Schedule Missionary Candidates for Orientation Training.
  • Processes the Missionary Candidate background checks.
  • Establishes Missionary Candidate online accounts and donor information to CRM system.
  • Extends digital support for MissionGO ministry or missionary position postings (on the website and social media), including updating existing veteran missionary webpages and project pages.
  • Assists Director with Member Care initiatives for missionary veterans and candidates.
  • Processes Accountability Reports.
  • Assists CAS Director with miscellaneous projects.
  • Completes regular reports for the CAS Director on the onboarding process and the assistance provided to Recruiting.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Serves as the in-house contact person for our traveling service—resourcing staff and missionaries to book and schedule flights.
  • Cross-trains with other Member Service Representatives; can be called to support other Member Service Team Members on projects or special assignments as assigned by the CAS Director
  • As time is available, researches resources and websites for potential recruits can be forwarded to Mobilizers.

Qualifications:

  • Must be in full agreement with MissionGO’s vision and Statement of Faith
  • A Bachelor’s Degree (Communications is preferred)
  • 1-2 years of administrative or communications experience is desired
  • Knowledge of various software including Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, Constant Contact/Mailchimp, and Canva is desired

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate over the phone
  • Ability to write in a friendly and approachable manner. Proofreading and editing skills are a plus
  • Must have good organizational and administrative skills and can manage multiple projects at the same time (from conception to completion); detail-oriented
  • Exhibits a willingness to learn new programs and adapt to new responsibilities; willing to accept direction yet also needs to be a self-starter with the ability to take initiative
  • Able to analyze and discern information; Problem Solver
  • Skillful in cultivating and maintaining positive relationships and ability to connect with and understand individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Demonstrates a genuine desire to serve and support others

Work Schedule: Full-time 9-5pm. Occasional extra hours will be required. Some travel may be required
