Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate, creative Social Media Manager to join our team.  The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a Social Media strategy to increase our online presence, engage our congregation, attract new members, and improve our marketing and community-building efforts. This individual will work closely with the Creative Media Director and the Creative team to advance the mission of CCC in a relevant and impactful way.  

Responsibilities:

Social Media Strategy Development: Develop and maintain a comprehensive social media strategy that supports our mission, vision, and values.

Content Creation:

    • Collaborate with the Creative Media director to create relevant, original, engaging social media content for all social media platforms, including text, images, graphics, and videos.
    • Create and develop social media plans and content calendars to promote upcoming events, and services.
    • Ensure consistency in messaging across all platforms and alignment with the CCC brand.

Community Engagement: Actively engage community and develop a sense of connection through comments, messages, and discussions.

Monitoring and Analytics: Monitor social media platforms for trends and feedback. Use analytical tools to track and measure the performance of social media content.

Developments: Stay informed of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in social media marketing.  Keep our church at the forefront of digital engagement and marketing.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience and strong understanding of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube.
  • Good understanding of social media analytics.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative programs such as Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, Premiere and/or Premiere Rush CC.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of current trend and best practices in church communications and digital ministry.
