Job Title: Program Director

Department: Women’s Ministry

Reports to: Executive Director/CEO

Supervises: House Manager,PT employees, volunteers, clients

FLSA Classification:  Salaried, exempt 

Job Summary: The program director will work closely with the Executive Director to see that the ministry and delivery of program services to our women clients meets or exceeds the standards set by the Executive Director/CEO. This job requires leadership skills in order to build and lead a strong team of employees and volunteers, resulting in a high level of excellence in the fulfillment of our mission. The Program Director will incorporate the Haven defined core values; Identification, Information, Innovation, Integrity and Intentionality, into all aspects of this ministry position.

Education and Experience Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • 5+ years local church ministry experience
  • 3+ years Women’s Ministry  experience
  • Continuing education, seminars, conferences a plus
  • Active member of The Association of Gospel Rescue Missions

Knowledge, Skills and Personal Characteristics

  • Self-starter and able to stay on task and complete projects on time

  • Collaborate with employees/volunteers with a team spirit and can do attitude
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Google Drive Docs. etc. 
  • Effective time manager and able to multitask 
  • Ability to delegate as appropriate
  • Manage easy time clock, teach and train employees in how to use ETC
  • Ability to balance budget, solicit donations, and manage funds efficiently
  • Obtain and utilize appropriate resources for clients

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Intentionally implement evangelism initiatives
  • Clearly articulate all program parameters for Rescue, Restore and Release
  • Shephard the spiritual needs of our clients by defining appropriate boundaries and parameters for classes, church services, Bible studies, mentors, etc.
  • Oversee all Program curriculum in collaboration with the Executive Director
  • Define parameters and protocol for all volunteers in Women’s Ministry 
  • Supervise volunteers that drive clients to job interviews, educational classes, work, medical appointments, etc.
  • Design information channels to keep clients, staff and volunteers informed so that expectations and goals are clear and attainable
  • Partner with local providers to meet basic medical and dental needs of clients
  • Develop and maintain an effective process for progress tracking, appropriate disciplinary measures, and client retention.
  • Compile data for monthly statistical report
  • Lead and delegate to insure that WM facilities are well maintained inside and out
  • Manage and update documents on Google Drive
  • Simplify processes, procedures, documents, storage etc. when and where possible
  • Arrange and rearrange all physical spaces at both WM houses so that the are effective and efficient
  • Insure that education and work skills training goals are met
  • Analyze and improve existing policies and procedures as appropriate
  • Oversee transition housing rooms 

 

Risk Management duties:

  • Insure that fire and alarm system is working at all times
  • Maintain good relations with first responders
  • Practice Safety first
  • Monitor security cameras regularly
  • Innovate new ideas to achieve excellence in this area

 

Special event duties:

  • Fall Fundraiser Banquet
  • WM client promotions and graduations - plan, schedule, organize
  • Visit and attend other graduations to gain new insights
  • Perform other duties as needed, as they arise, as directed or self-directed
