Job Title: Creative Director
Department: Executive Director: Lead Pastor
Status: Full-Time
Mission and Vision: Vertical Church exists to help people Believe in Jesus Christ, Belong to his beautiful multi-ethnic/multi-generational Church, and Become Disciples that Make Disciples. We have a vision of seeing 1000 discipleship relationships by 2030.
- Creative Director – The primary responsibility of the Creative Director is to offer oversight to the Creative Ministries of Vertical Church. The Creative Ministries of Vertical Church include Worship, Communications, Media, and Worship Services.
- Teams this Role Leads - This position reports directly to the Lead Pastor
- Media Team - (A/V, Computer Graphics, Photography, and Videography)
- Communications Team - (Website, Social Media, Churchwide Communications, Podcast, YouTube Posting)
- Weekend Services - (Worship Team, Band, Service Coordinator)
- This position works closely with:
- Church Admin - For calendar and scheduling
- Leadership Team - For Service Planning and alignment.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to identify priorities and determine direction for communications efforts based on the church’s yearly calendar, goals, and initiatives.
- Recruit, train, lead, and develop coordinators, assistants, and servant leaders to help implement creative strategies.
- Ensure Weeknd Services operate in excellence and external & internal communications are consistent.
- Build Creative Ministry Infrastructure including: ministry profiles, job descriptions, and process maps, and overall growth strategy.
- Primary Responsibilities:
- Clearly communicate the Mission and Vision of Vertical Church.
- Oversee all aspects of Creative Ministries:
- Provide direction, planning, and implementation for Creative Ministries strategy.
- Lead, Coach, and Develop Creative Ministry Leaders
- Ensure that Creative Ministry Teams have the necessary communication, resources, and feedback in order to lead effectively.
- Participate with other Executive Team Members to execute Vertical Church Mission and Vision.
- Oversee Creative Ministry Budget.
- Provide direction, planning and implementation for communication strategy.
- Provide significant insight to vision casting and goal setting for key areas
- 40-50 hours/week

- Ministry Teams Growth in participants and competency
- Vision Planning and Implementation
- Internal and External Communication strategy and effectiveness.
- A growing relationship with Jesus Christ in light of the Gospel.
- Possess a servant's heart and strong passion to support the work of Vertical Church.

- Actively participate in the life of Vertical Church through Missional Communities, Discipleship Groups, and Growth Tracks.
- Be an inviter to Christ and to his Church.

- Sunday Services
- All other hours, planning, meeting, leading,
- Semi-Monthly Executive Leadership Team Meeting
- Monthly 1-on-1 with direct supervisor
- Weekly Staff Meeting Tuesday @10:00am
- Participation in Church-Wide Events
- Blackout for special services for the Church.
