Job Description:

ARMS is a Christian faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support and services to individuals affected by domestic violence. Our mission is to empower survivors and hold offenders accountable toward creating a safer, more compassionate community. Our recovery groups meet nationally and in seven countries.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Director to lead our organization. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, a collaborative leader, and a passionate advocate for survivors of domestic violence and transformation for offenders. As the Executive Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization, including management, finances, fundraising, program development, public relations, and training.

Key Responsibilities:

Management:

- Develop and implement a clear, unified vision that aligns with the organization's mission and values.

- Evaluate the existing model and an identify opportunities and build strategies that accelerate future growth.

-Create a positive and inclusive work environment that motivates and inspires staff.

- Hire, manage, and evaluate staff to ensure effective implementation of programs and services.

- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the organization's goals and objectives

Finances:

- Oversee the development and implementation of the organization's annual budget.

- Ensure effective financial management, including cash flow management, financial reporting, and compliance with financial regulations.

- Collaborate with the administrative advisor and financial officer to ensure efficient financial operations.

Fundraising:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to support the organization's programs and services.

- Build and maintain relationships with donors, foundations, and other funding sources.

- Ensure ethical fundraising practices and compliance with fundraising regulations.

Program Development:

- Oversee the development and implementation of programs and services that meet the needs of survivors of domestic violence and help for offenders toward true change.

- Ensure programs and services are evidence-based, culturally sensitive, and aligned with the organization's mission and values.

- Collaborate with staff and stakeholders to identify program needs and develop strategies to address them.

Public Relations:

- Develop and implement a public relations plan to raise awareness about domestic violence and promote the organization's mission and services.

- Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, media, and other stakeholders.

- Ensure effective communication and representation of the organization.

Training:

- Pursue ongoing education and training to stay informed about new programs and trends in the domestic violence field.

- Ensure staff receive necessary training and support to effectively implement programs and services.

Board Reporting:

- Ensure the Board of Directors is informed about key activities, developments, and financial status.

- Provide regular reports and updates to the Board, including internal monitoring reports and financial statements.

Requirements:

- Proven work experience as a manager in a non-profit organization or similar role.

- Training and experience in helping victims and offenders.

- Experience running fundraising initiatives and developing strategic plans.

- Knowledge of volunteer recruitment, financial management, and program development.

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans, manage finances, and build relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- Preferred: Master's degree in Social Services, Non-Profit Management, or a related field.

- Previous experience in a senior management or leadership role.

- Ability to develop, implement, and execute strategic plans for business growth.

- Strong understanding of financial metrics and strategies for business development.

- In-depth knowledge of best practices in corporate governance and senior management.

Abuse Recovery Ministry & Services (ARMs) has been providing free recovery services to victim and survivors of domestic violence since 1997. These services are provided nationally and internationally. ARMS also provides intervention services for those who use abuse and is certified in the state of Oregon. We train both men and women nationally and beyond in our Biblically-based programs. ARMS is considered experts of dealing with these issues from a Christian perspective.
