Job Description: Preschool Director
Summary:
RCC is actively seeking a qualified Preschool Director who will oversee the daily operations and administration of River Preschool. The candidate will be experienced in the field of Early Childhood Development and Lead Management of a school.
The River Preschool Director should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as a love for children. They should uphold the vision of the preschool with pride and ensure that the preschool meets the relevant standard set by the state. They should also be committed to the mission and vision of River Christian Church and be a participating member of the congregation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of River Preschool
- Help create a positive, loving, and ministry minded culture
- Work closely with executive pastor and ministry leaders to communicate schedule/needs
- Hire/train staff; assistants, teachers, substitutes
- Schedule Continuing Education for staff
- Manage Staff & Student files, ensuring compliance with ECS and DCF
- Develop policies and procedures that meet state requirements
- Use state approved curriculum that meets standards and supports educational excellence
- Work with staff to communicate with parents
- Knowledge of programs in the county to help students with varying delays
- Maintain the school website and social media
- Coordinate maintenance/cleaning of the facility according to state and local standards
- Prepare bi-monthly staff timesheets
- Manage/prepare preschool budget, purchase all school related supplies
- Manage financial operations for the preschool. (familiarity with Quickbooks software)
- Invoice services provided to students, collect payments and input transactions, monthly reconciliation to confirm accurate data, bi-monthly deposit of all cash/checks
- Oversee preschool grant applications though ECS by applying within deadlines and maintaining financial paperwork
- Able to work year-round (directing summer camp and other activities)
Preschool Director Career Requirements
- Active Staff & Director credentials - DCF (Department of Children and Families) transcript must be provided or proof of current engagement in the process of acquiring these credentials.
- credentials must be acquired no later than July 15th
