Peninsula Church is a vibrant multigenerational and multicultural faith community located in Pacific Grove, CA (Monterey Peninsula). Our staff team is devoted to seeking the Kingdom of God, and seeing His Kingdom come in our region. We are seeking a Family Pastor who loves God's presence and will minister to the needs of children, youth and their families.
Position Summary: The Family Life Pastor will provide leadership and oversight to all ministries serving children and youth from birth through grade 12. We are looking for a strong, relational leader who will disciple students, partner with parents, and cultivate a vibrant culture for children and teens rooted in biblical truth, God encounters and authentic relationships.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Recruit and manage existing volunteers, implement age appropriate curriculum, implement and execute safety & best practice procedures, and organize events/outings.
Assist lead pastor in ministry related responsibilities which may include but not limited to: pulpit ministry, pastoral care and all that applies.
The family pastor will attend all staff meetings, sectional gatherings and will report directly to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
Certified/Licensed Minister, Bachelor's Degree preferred (however not required), 2-3 years experience working with children, youth and family dynamics.
